Industrial environments are hard on coatings. Bay Spec Painting applies systems built for abrasion, moisture, chemical exposure and coastal conditions across industrial sites in Tauranga and the wider Bay of Plenty.
The work is planned around production. We stage access, contain the work area and coordinate shutdowns so the site keeps running.
What the work involves
Surface preparation
Cleaning, degreasing, abrasive preparation and spot priming appropriate to the substrate and the coating system.
Protective coating systems
Primers, intermediate coats and topcoats applied to the manufacturer's specification, including film thickness and recoat windows.
Structural steel and plant
Steelwork, portals, tanks, pipework, plant and equipment coated in situ or during scheduled shutdowns.
Floors, linemarking and containment
Hard-wearing floor coatings and marking, with containment and extraction where the environment requires it.
Our approach
Coating systems selected with the supplier for the exposure conditions, not assumed from a previous job.
Access planned properly — scaffold, elevated work platforms and height safety built into the method.
Work sequenced around production or shutdown windows so the site keeps operating.
